01SJ Biennial artists Blast Theory are at Sundance showcasing A Machine to See With, a project that premiered at the 01SJ Biennial this past September. A Machine to See With is a collaboration between ZER01, Sundance, and the Banff New Media Institute. Blast Theory created a unique cell phone experience for participants as they wander through the streets of Park City. They developed the experience on the ground in San Jose, where you are asked to step inside a film as you walk through the city, receiving phone calls and follow the directions to play your role. Each person receives a different path and experience through the city and at the end they realize what their role was in the experience.
